Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

What a remarkable and unexpected treat. I was driving home to Roslindale from Mohegan Sun, and ventured off the standard route 95 or route 90 method -- venturing on to route 6 instead. I got hungry and used my GPS to find a nearby place. It landed me here. I was expecting standard diner fare. I was instead blown away by anexcellent, fresh, delicious, and large-portioned Italian feast -- and an enormous menu -- or should I say three menus. I had the veal Josephine -- which came with a side of linguini in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce, and a modest but creative salad. The main dish was spectacular, with shrimp, a huge piece of lightly breaded veal, a large number of juicy mushrooms, and a great Sambuca sauce. Oh my, what a treat. I'm eager to bring my wife here en route to New York -- or maybe just for its own sake (though its a good 70 minutes from my house). The rest of the menu would take a daily visitor a good year to sample. I'm eager to get started.

The food here is delicious, but the service you get is very cold and unwelcoming. You seem to bother employees by places take out orders, even dining in. But the food gets two thumbs up!

For Starters, All of the food is homemade. Sauces, Soups, Cheeses. The menue is a mix of standard Italian fare but something about the menue just made it seem more 'home-style'. Not fixed/standard menue items. It's hard to describe...go there and see for yourself! My wife had the Fettuccini Alfredo. She is a bit of a fanatic when it comes to this dish. She fell in love with it and moaned every time she took a bite. I cannot remember the exact name of my dish but it was essentially Chicken Parm, topped with Eggplant Parm, with a layer of homemade cheeses on top. YES, homemade cheeses! It was rich as you can imagine, but very tasty and made great leftovers. They had a few fish dishes that were fresh catches from local RI fishermen. If there is a large group the dining room can get pretty loud. We arrived and there was a part of 20 or more. It made conversation a bit difficult. I don't think that happens often and the wait staff did everything they could knowing it made it hard on the other patrons. They also have a few tables set up outside by a chiminea. They also have a few tables set up outside by a chiminea. We can't wait to go back and try more dishes (at least I can't. My wfie will likely get the Alfredo again).

Excellent Food! Highly Recommend!! This place has AMAZING authentic Italian food. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is homemade right down to the salad dressings. Another reviewer stated they were overpriced... I don't find that to be the fact at all. You get HUGE portions and the pricing is very comparable to the portions you receive. My husband and I have been going here for years and will continue to go. We were talking with friends one day about where to go for the best Italian food and we all stated at the same time "Corner Bistro"... I am telling you.. you can't go wrong :)

Amazing restaurant with a variety of choices. We eat there at least once a month and have been thrilled each and every time. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive and personable. They take care to make each meal served the very best and are happy to accommodate food allergies and dietary needs.

So happy to get back to The Bistro!!!! Haven't been in a few months. Love every thing about this place!! Bobby the Chef is stellar!!!! Karen the hostess is magnificent. By the way - Bobby and Karen are the owners!!! It's a family business - Stacy, Alma, Andrea, Tiana and of course Joe at the bar (love him). Food is out of control with Bobby the chef and his son Robert kickin it in the kitchen!!!!!

Despite its un-inviting (dull) exterior the inside was a very pleasant suprise. Soaring cathedral ceilings with wide barn board gave a warm glow to the open dining room below. Owners are hostess and chef, this family run buisness seems eager to please. Menu had a nice variety. I would give it 3.5 stars. Veal padella was tasty, steak a'la mama was tender. Roasted vegetables were a nice change since they were cut what i call "caveman" style large! had dinner then drove down to Bentleys for a drink.

Just had a First Communion party for my daughter at the Corner Bistro. The food and service was fabulous. Tommy and Lou Ann were great to work with. Great time for all!

Awesome food! That's what should be reviewed! Nice simple atmosphere, no frills but clean and and well organized for the amount of space they have to work with! Been ther numerous time an never disappointed!

We looked forward to eating here but...meh. Both the calamari and the salmon and scollop dish were way overdressed. Salmon and scollop dish also came 5 minutes after the rest of the table, burnt. The side of pickled beets (my favorite!) tasted like a can...maybe a jar. Gnocchi were okay but obviously prepackaged. Service was pleasant and accommodating to our active toddler.

This has become THEE place to go for some of the best Italian food you could have in Rhode Island. Absolutely no need to go to Federal Hill fight the traffic, jockey for a parking space and pay the jacked up prices many of those Atwells Ave. eateries charge. Don't expect fancy. This is a no frills little gem tucked away in a little corner in Scituate. We have become devotees of this chef. We have tried more dishes than not on this diverse menu and each and every dish was DELISH!!!!! Lauren has become our oft requested server. She is knowledgable , efficient w/o being obnoxious and very pleasant. We visit nearly once a week......its that GOOD!

Never thought living in Providence near federal hill my wife and I would find a better place for Italian food, but we did. All of the food is homemade and made to order. No canned sauces (or gravies) as we call them. The seafood dishes are outstanding and the veal Marsala is the best.

Really good Italian food and large portions in the middle of nowhere.

Sorry, but the last visit on 03/31/212 was a big disappointment. So far all the food we had there on multiple occasions was excellent and it started out great again. The stuffed mushrooms were mouthwatering, the chicken soup very tasty and then it turned into something I rather had missed. The pan seared sea scallops and salmon came out black, that means burned instead of golden brown. Maybe someone likes burnt food but I was told this is unhealthy and to be honest burnt food does not taste right. Anyway the cook was kind enough to bring me another dish but this time the scallops were anemic looking (that phrase is borrowed from one of our party), apparently not seeing a pan at all, just cooked. The rest of the table was just fine with their food, apart from the girl that had spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were ice-cold in the center, you know what that means. So last time was very disappointing and I feel bad about it because we will skip this place for a great while
